Title: C for Engineers 2nd ed.

Author: Bramer & Bramer
Pub: Arnold

ISBN: 0-340-67769-4

Disk included

When I reviewed the first edition of this book I liked it. The second edtion is essentially the same book with updates drawn from several years of teaching with the first edition. It is a good solid book on C with a slighly different slant from most C books. Whilst it is aimed primarily at students on electronics or low level computing courses it useable by anyone wanting to learn C.

As with all Bramer books there is an inroduction covering basic microcomputer architecture and a final chapter on interfacign to hardware, principally the RS232 ports on a PC. The language itself is covered in a thourgh and logical manner. (see the review of the first editon (Cvu V6I1)and the review of C++ for Engineers ( Cvu V9I1)

There is a disk included and support including source code, answers to exercises ( and ohp support for lecturers) from the author via his web site and email.

If you want to program the hardware or want a good book on c that is not the same as all the rest get this book. This book is also recommended as a course book for university lecturers.
